Following the events of January 3rd in Venezuela, Venezuelans’ favorability of the United States of America rose to its highest level since 2000.
The favorability rating, according to the Frequency58 survey by ORC Consultores, stands at 77.9%, compared to the historical average of 58%. This is a 20-point increase. The telephone survey was conducted from February 4th to 13th, 2026, with 1,126 respondents, a 95% confidence level, and a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5%. The survey was nationwide for individuals aged 18 or older who were registered to vote. The data series from 2000 to 2024 is from Latinobarómetro.
Anti-American sentiment fell to 17%, down from the historical average of 34%.
By clusters of political self-definition, favorability is higher in the opposition, while unfavorability is higher in Chavismo. This pattern appears across most clusters.
