From Frequency58, a survey was conducted to survey the trend in the level of trust of the population in civil society organizations. The question selected was: How much confidence do you have in this person or institution in their work to achieve the welfare of Venezuela? The answers were measured as: very confident, some confidence, little confidence, no confidence, don’t know and no answer.

Overall, 52% of respondents have some level of confidence in them, compared to 42% who have no confidence or little confidence in them.

A cross-section of the surveyed population, in terms of the generation to which they belong and their political self-definition, yielded the following results:

We can observe that the silent generation is both the one who trusts civil society organizations the most, with 76.5%, and the one who distrusts the least, with 15.5%. While generation X is the one who trusts the least, with 46.7% of respondents.

Finally, as far as political position is concerned, it is those who are within the ranks of the ruling party who trust these civil society figures the most, with 71.8%, and those who distrust them the least, with 23.9% of those surveyed for the date. While those who place themselves within the non-aligned bloc are those who trust the least, with 33.7%, and those who distrust the most, with 58.1% of respondents.
