From Frequency58, a survey was conducted to measure public opinion regarding the level of confidence of the population in the negotiations between the government and the opposition in Mexico. The question selected was: How much confidence do you have in this person or institution in their work to achieve Venezuela’s welfare? The responses were measured in six initial categories, which are: very confident, some confidence, little confidence, no confidence, don’t know and no answer.

The tendency points towards distrust in this figure with 64% (sum of no confidence and little confidence) compared to 24% (sum of very confident and some confidence) who consider this figure to be reliable.

The generational variable was applied to the same population to collect the trend on the subject by age:

The graph shows a clear trend of distrust in the Negotiation Talks, with the lowest levels of distrust being those of generation Z with 78.9% and the silent generation with 78.2%. The latter being the most trusting generation with 42.9%.

When we change age for political self-definition, the picture changes. The trend of distrust in negotiations in Mexico is led by those who do not follow either of the two traditional parties with 68.1%. It is closely followed by the followers of the opposition with 67.8%, leaving the supporters of the ruling party as those who distrust the least and believe in this figure the most, with 39.4% and 48.3% respectively.
